If you want it to flower you need to be sure that it is getting sunshine. They thrive in sunshine. Watering twice a week should be all you need in normal temperatures. Hibiscus can withstand low temperatures, but just can't get below freezing for them. In the cold season, they will just pretty well rest. If there is anyway possible, get it outside during the summer, on a balcony or whatever so that you can enjoy it's beauty.

I have 16 hibiscus bushes I believe, all different colors and varieties. They are great where I live, with flowers on them all the time.
Reply:Thanks from 2 shy. Good luck with the hibiscus. Report It
Reply:Be warned that the hibiscus sold as indoor plants will almost certianly have ben treated to flower at a small size. Ones here in Spain are fair sized shrubs, and used as hedging. Yours will flower if kept warm and watered, but not waterlogged, but at some time will start to grow much bigger and stop flowering, you can prunbe it smaller at this time and it should flower again.
