Do anyone know the phylogeny of the Hibiscus plant? Is it an angiosperm or gymnosperm?

It's an angiosperm in the family Malvaceae

Hibiscus is a genus in the family Malvaceae, which is a member of the Order Malvales. Malvales is part of the Rosid group of angiosperms.

The link will probably give you way more than you want to know (pick Malvales from the list on the left of the screen).
