How do you get a hearty hibiscus to grow?

Well, where I live, they would rather be in the ground than in a container.

Mine has doubled in size since it has been in the ground. I water every other day with a good soaking, gave it shake and feed once this summer, and it just keeps blooming!

Good luck, they are really beautiful!

I live is north Texas, and have no problems with my Mallow Hibiscus.

They need full sun, lots of water, and good compost fertilizer. I also use a synthetic fertilizer, when the plant starts producing bubs.
Reply:move to Florida...I have to cut mine back every two months..
