Large tree with large red flowers...?

Looking for the name of the tree that is fairly large and has an overabundance of very large red flowers. They almost look like Hibiscus flowers only have a waxy feel to the petals and are much bigger. I am just wondering. I have seen them around the city where I live in central Florida and they are beautiful. I would just like to know what they are. Thank you.

Reply:As your in a tropical type area I think maybe African tulip tree, spathodea campanulata, or if the tree is wider than it is high Delonix regia, royal poinciana. Hope this is what your looking for.
Reply:Check Magnolia trees or Tulip Magnolia trees.
