Can we use this to make Gumamela Jam?

Can we use an ordinarry gumamela {hibiscus} that we get to our local flower shops that using a roselle plant?



Please it's driving me crazy.
Can we use this to make Gumamela Jam?
True roselle is Hibiscus sabdariffa L

Gumamela is Hibiscus rosa sinensis, which should be the species you find in the shops and not highly recommended to produce Jam.



The roselle calix contains 3,19% pectin, so that you can make a firm jelly out of the juice, sugar and some lemon juice
