Hibiscus seeds?

When they say take the folded spent flowers and put them away that the seeds are in there for next year. Are the seeds on the middle folicle The tiny tiny specks ?
Hibiscus seeds?
If the flower is spent and dried-- there should be a pod at the end of the stem-- take the dry pod and using your other hand, rub the palms together-- you will find debris from the pod and seeds-- the larger seeds seem to be the best to start. If you have a few months before really cold weather-- you can plant the seeds (marking the spot) and see how many come up--if they are hardy hibiscus-- just cover them with leaves before cold weather (assuming you are near zone 7).

I just harvested some from the church garden-- and I'll do the same.

good luck

Reply:Tiny specks ... doesn't sound like seeds to me. Maybe your Hibiscus is a hybrid and doesn't set seed?
