What are some simple flowers that grow directly from the ground (like a marigold)?

As opposed to on a bush (like a rose or hibiscus). I am doing a painting of a grassy scene with bunches of diffierent flowers growing in a field. The simpler the flower, the better. Thx.

Daisy, Pansy, Zinnea, Carnation, Tulip, Lily, Daffodil, Hollyhock, Sunflower, Cosmos, Dahlia, Verbena Bonariensis, Poppy, Echinacea, Columbine.
Reply:Daisies. That's the simplest flowers I can think of to draw or paint and they look natural in a field.
Reply:The easiest would be daylilies.

Weeds like dandylions, ditchlilies, compass plants, golden rod.

Wildflowers such as blood root, violets, buttercups, daisies, heather.

Garden plants such as petunias, spiderworts, snapdragons, daylilies, violets, impatients, geraniums, daisies, butterfly bush, mallows, flocks.
Reply:Sweet Williams, bachelor buttons, coreopsis, dandelions, tulips, flox, chrysanthemums.
Reply:zimas-you can buy a can of them for like a dollar and sprinkle them and they will just come right up.
