Rosehip and hibiscus tea?

I pick my own rosehips and make a drink with them, but my family will only take shop bought products and they nearly all have rosehip %26amp; hibiscus.

what is the hibiscus for?
Rosehip and hibiscus tea?
rosehips are good sorce of antiinflamatory.

but you need a lot of it to do that.

taken in a tea with hibiscus just helps you absorb the rosehips better so you get more of a benifit from them.
Reply:Hibiscus tastes nice - the best dried leaves are from Aswan in Egypt. They say it helps with hangovers and stomach problems - works for me.
Reply:If your body is drawn to drink it, you probably need it, but they have a very high vitamin C content, which is always a good thing as the body needs alot of it.

"Native Americans have been using rosehips as tea for thousands of years, and when the tea is finished, the hips were added to stews or soups. There was just too much nutrition in a rosehip to let it go to waste"
Reply:Well, I couldn't find much information about why those two are used together, just that Hibiscus is commonly made into jams and teas. The only thing I could find about it is that Hibiscus has good antioxidant properties.
Reply:i don't know. and sorry to ask a question but how do you make a drink with them? i knew you could but don't know how. i've got quite a few in my garden. i know you can make jam too. and they're good for you. but you can't eat them raw, can you?

edit: thanks, i'll try it.
