Where can I find Ambrette Seed in Singapore?

Hi,

I'm looking for Ambrette seed (Abelmoschus moschatus),

also known as Muskdana, (or Semen Abelmoschi, Grana Moschata, Eygyptian Alcèe Bisornkorner, Ambrakorner, Musk Seed, Target-leaved Hibiscus, Ab-el-mosch, Bamia Moschata, Ketmie odorante, Galu gasturi, Capu kanassa).

From India, the seed has a distintive musk scent when the oil is extracted. Please let me know if you know of where I could get in, best if it's in Singapore.

Thanks so much.

Ambrette seed or musk ambrette as it is known in some parts of the world has been used for as long time now as a substitute for real musk in the perfumery trade.

Try any perfumery manufacturer or a supply house to the trade. They can point you in the right direction.

Here in Australia I would try Bush Boake and Allen or Bronson and Jacobs. Perhaps they have branches in Singapore.
