Bugs on Hibiscus bushes??

I have some beetle looking bugs on my bushes. The are sort of a metalic green color and they have black legs with pinchers on them. They are eating the beautiful leaves off my hibiscus bushes and my rose of sharron bushes. What are they and does anyone know what I can use to kill them? Thanks in advance

Japanese Beetles.

I had them too. Get some Sevin Dust. Walmart carries it as does any lawn %26amp; garden center. It is very safe and the beetles will be gone the next day.
Reply:Buy some "Milky Spore" for future years of combating Japanese Beetles as it gives them a virus that spreads to other J. Beetles, each year to reduce the beetles dramatically. It works and last for many years. I think that ours lasted about 15 years when I redid it 4 years ago. Makes a huge difference. Go to Google and search out "Sevin danger to Bees". If you spray it on the flowers it will kill the bees.
Reply:You can also get a 5 gallon bucket fill it with water %26amp; take orange peelings %26amp; they will goto the water %26amp; drown.
Reply:use a powder on them as in sevin dust several times a week and place traps around the property for J- beetles
Reply:Japanese Beetles there is traps for them go to your local garden center and tell them you want Japanese beetle traps that ill take care of your problem
Reply:Spray with Alcohol
